+ Melbourne Bike Share



This rebrand concept responded to the failure of the current MBS system. The new system proposed a change of target audience; to direct it to tourists as well as locals. The concept was based around a pattern that featured Melbourne icons, and the designs were created to encourage exploration and discovery. The concept involved ‘peeling back the layers’ of Melbourne and seeing things that you might miss on other forms of transport, such as trains and trams.
The designs created were (in order from top to bottom); a concept for a themed city guide (outside and inside), a map to go inside the guide, a business card, a ticket which provides the user with an access code and a bike. The designs below are a conceptual website and a quick-start poster guide.
